120 Power of intuition when you HAVE to do things?

Published on: 27th December, 2021

Power of intuition when you HAVE to do things?

We all have those HAVE to do things in our lives, so can intuition guide you through your HAVE to do's in simpler, less stressful ways?

I say YES! Here is why.

  • Intuition is the key to efficiency and productivity.
  • Intuition clarifies for better, more concise decisions.
  • Intuition simplifies through bringing things together in unexpected ways, synchronicity.
  • All of the above leads to less stress and more joy!

Key Points:

  • When you are feeling pressured to get things done by the outside or by yourself, take a moment to step away, do something to relax your mind.
  • Open your relaxed mind to possibilities to do things simpler more efficiently.
  • Give yourself 15, 30 even an hour to take a break, do something to relax: Take a walk, time with plants, watch a video, listen to music, color, work on something else, do something completely different, call a friend.
  • Ask intuition to guide you to a fresh approach or inspire you.

When something we feel is a HAVE to do, it becomes a burden, and we fall into the bog. Sure, you can convince yourself that you GET to do this, but sometimes that doesn't get the job done. So instead of procrastinating to avoid the job or going about it in the most challenging manner, trust your intuition to clear the way and get a little joy of a job done efficiently and with simplicity! That always leads to joy!

Until next time, keep it simple, be at ease with yourself, trust your intuition with light the way.

Kathryn:

Hi, welcome to episode a 120.

Kathryn:

Intuition and the things we have to do.

Kathryn:

How does intuition work?

Kathryn:

When we have these half to do things.

Kathryn:

An intuition asks us to follow the path.

Kathryn:

But the have to use.

Kathryn:

Make us feel like we have to plan every detail.

Kathryn:

So let's get into it.

Kathryn:

There are things we have to get done.

Kathryn:

There's no doubt.

Kathryn:

That's How the world works and the way things are.

Kathryn:

How do these half to things work with intuition.

Kathryn:

It's a question I get often, and it's a question.

Kathryn:

Sometimes I struggle with myself.

Kathryn:

As you run your business, as you move through your life.

Kathryn:

There are certain things that are half tos.

Kathryn:

Some people say, instead, say, I want to do this.

Kathryn:

That may work for others.

Kathryn:

Honestly, it doesn't always work for me.

Kathryn:

There are some things that I can't convince myself, I want to do them.

Kathryn:

But they still need to get done.

Kathryn:

Even though I'd rather, they're not a necessity.

Kathryn:

It's how it is.

Kathryn:

You know, it's you still got to balance the books.

Kathryn:

You still got to pay your taxes.

Kathryn:

There are some things out there that still need to be done and organize.

Kathryn:

So how do we allow intuition to guide us?

Kathryn:

And those have to do areas.

Kathryn:

It's about.

Kathryn:

Allowing yourself to let go of, the pressure, the stress of it.

Kathryn:

The dread.

Kathryn:

Then the thinking about the dread of having to do it.

Kathryn:

Overthinking that's a really tough one.

Kathryn:

Per thinking.

Kathryn:

Man, we sure like to do this overthinking.

Kathryn:

We think about having to do it.

Kathryn:

We think about the experience of having to do it.

Kathryn:

We think about all the things we have to do to do it.

Kathryn:

By the time we do it, we're already worn out.

Kathryn:

Getting out of our hands and the thinking of the, exactly how things have to be done

Kathryn:

and what order they need to be done in and how they associate to one another and,

Kathryn:

and the rules and all of these things.

Kathryn:

Can begin to feel quite overwhelming.

Kathryn:

And what happened to that fun in the middle Goldilocks zone?

Kathryn:

Uh, intuition.

Kathryn:

Isn't that what I supposed to be doing.

Kathryn:

Getting things done through following my intuition, being in

Kathryn:

that Goldilocks zone and allowing things to fall into synchronicity.

Kathryn:

Isn't that what I'm supposed to be doing.

Kathryn:

What are all these, I have to do things, they're, getting in my way.

Kathryn:

Yeah, well, I get it.

Kathryn:

It does feel like the fantasy of intuition guiding your business in your life.

Kathryn:

How ridiculous that is.

Kathryn:

The truth of the matter is intuition can guide you in those areas.

Kathryn:

And.

Kathryn:

Tell you when the synchronicities of getting things done when it's easier,

Kathryn:

when it's less stressful to do them.

Kathryn:

The thing is if we let those hemming and hawing and.

Kathryn:

Thinking and overthinking.

Kathryn:

Getting the way.

Kathryn:

And that's our guide.

Kathryn:

It's like having the person who doesn't really know what they're talking about.

Kathryn:

Give us the directions.

Kathryn:

Think about it.

Kathryn:

Here we are, were driving around our town.

Kathryn:

And suddenly someone wants to give us directions anything.

Kathryn:

Why.

Kathryn:

And they're like, I know my way.

Kathryn:

Here's what you do.

Kathryn:

And they giving you all these directions.

Kathryn:

And do you ever stop and ask, have you ever been to my town before?

Kathryn:

And they're giving you all these directions and you're like

Kathryn:

this isn't taking us anywhere.

Kathryn:

You have no idea where we're going.

Kathryn:

Finally you say, listen, Have you been here before?

Kathryn:

And the chattery thoughts giving you direction goes.

Kathryn:

No, but I like to give a lot of directions.

Kathryn:

I don't really know where we're going, but I enjoy giving directions.

Kathryn:

Great.

Kathryn:

Not so helpful to me.

Kathryn:

This is how you want to think of these chattery thoughts and your mind.

Kathryn:

They're giving so many directions, they don't really know where they're going.

Kathryn:

It's like emotions, the worst backseat drivers in the world.

Kathryn:

Your chattery thoughts are very similar.

Kathryn:

They think they constantly know where they're going.

Kathryn:

Emotions are like, willy-nilly.

Kathryn:

I don't know, maybe we should go left.

Kathryn:

I don't know.

Kathryn:

Maybe we should go right see We've two really bad backseat drivers here.

Kathryn:

Very bad backseat drivers.

Kathryn:

Yes.

Kathryn:

One of them may know the rules of the road and act like they know all the directions.

Kathryn:

But do they.

Kathryn:

Do those thoughts really know all the directions of where you need

Kathryn:

to go and how it should be done.

Kathryn:

If you could follow your intuition, even in the, I have to get things done.

Kathryn:

What could that look like?

Kathryn:

How could that feel?

Kathryn:

Could you imagine having less stress?

Kathryn:

Less worry.

Kathryn:

I imagine the synchronicities that could begin to occur for you.

Kathryn:

If you didn't worry about it so much.

Kathryn:

If you weren't trying to make.

Kathryn:

Things happen.

Kathryn:

Think about the times when the synchronicity lined amazing things

Kathryn:

up that you could never imagine.

Kathryn:

The moment when you.

Kathryn:

Got seated in a bad place on the airplane.

Kathryn:

When someone happened to notice you, you connect before, you know, it.

Kathryn:

You were supposed to have met.

Kathryn:

And that leads to something else and that leads to something else.

Kathryn:

And you can not have planned it.

Kathryn:

You could not have made.

Kathryn:

It happened.

Kathryn:

And that's what I want you to think about when you think about intuition.

Kathryn:

Things come together.

Kathryn:

There's often, no real explanation to it.

Kathryn:

There's no planning to it.

Kathryn:

It is the magical synchronicities.

Kathryn:

Of things coming out better than you could have planned in a much better way.

Kathryn:

Then, if you try to make things happen.

Kathryn:

It never works well when you try to force people to do things.

Kathryn:

Why is it we think forcing ourselves to do things.

Kathryn:

We'll make it seem so much better.

Kathryn:

We'll make it easier.

Kathryn:

I'll make it more enjoyable.

Kathryn:

I don't know about you, but I don't enjoy being told what I have to do.

Kathryn:

I don't enjoy being forced to do something.

Kathryn:

It isn't in my nature.

Kathryn:

I'd rather do what drives me?

Kathryn:

What inspires me?

Kathryn:

What makes me happy?

Kathryn:

What brings me joy?

Kathryn:

And yes, paying taxes.

Kathryn:

Isn't one of those, but if I can be in the spot.

Kathryn:

Where things line up and it's easy and it flows quickly and it's not a struggle.

Kathryn:

I'd pick that over, struggling, pulling it all together.

Kathryn:

I picked that over spending a day beating my head against the wall, getting it done.

Kathryn:

I'd pick the day where Hey, every document I need shows up.

Kathryn:

Everything comes together.

Kathryn:

It all adds up perfectly.

Kathryn:

And I'm done before.

Kathryn:

I know it.

Kathryn:

I picked that.

Kathryn:

And that is intuition.

Kathryn:

So, how do you move for my have too.

Kathryn:

Trying to force yourself to do it.

Kathryn:

Schedule yourself to do it.

Kathryn:

Too in the flow.

Kathryn:

Things happen.

Kathryn:

I mean, sometimes she does deadline for things.

Kathryn:

Can intuition work within that deadline.

Kathryn:

Huh.

Kathryn:

It sounds frightening.

Kathryn:

But yes.

Kathryn:

Your intuition can work within the deadline.

Kathryn:

Now, again, like anything else, it comes to practice recognizing

Kathryn:

your intuition instead of . Setting things aside for positive thinking.

Kathryn:

Think of as though you're in flow.

Kathryn:

Your.

Kathryn:

Good ideas, coming with you and pushing you along and.

Kathryn:

Thanks.

Kathryn:

You're going.

Kathryn:

Smoothly more easily than you expect.

Kathryn:

And then you start thinking about stuff.

Kathryn:

You start.

Kathryn:

Questioning things you start.

Kathryn:

Trying to figure out how things are going to work start Trying to make things work.

Kathryn:

You start overthinking.

Kathryn:

What happens?

Kathryn:

Well, my experience of working with people on this topic and on myself.

Kathryn:

When you stunt the flow.

Kathryn:

With overthinking or emotions.

Kathryn:

It's like slamming on the brakes.

Kathryn:

You stopped moving forward.

Kathryn:

Now you'll move a little bit forward, but.

Kathryn:

Ah, that's a it's it's not easy.

Kathryn:

It's like dragging yourself through a bog of thoughts and worries and emotions.

Kathryn:

It weighs you down.

Kathryn:

It slows you down.

Kathryn:

Get caught up in the thoughts and the half dues and the deadlines.

Kathryn:

If you could allow that flow.

Kathryn:

That intuition to guide you to get these things done.

Kathryn:

It wouldn't feel so hard you wouldn't dread doing it.

Kathryn:

How do you get into this flow?

Kathryn:

Let's say you've got a deadline.

Kathryn:

You've got to get down and you're procrastinating or you're

Kathryn:

dreading it or you're trying to force yourself to get it done.

Kathryn:

I will get this done.

Kathryn:

And you ended up spinning your wheels all day, trying to get it down.

Kathryn:

We feel like nothing's moving forward.

Kathryn:

It's not coming together and your frustrated and you're getting

Kathryn:

angry and getting an irritated.

Kathryn:

It's taking so much more time.

Kathryn:

What do you do in those moments?

Kathryn:

Can you call on your intuition?

Kathryn:

And say, I need some help.

Kathryn:

Help me out.

Kathryn:

Yes actually you can.

Kathryn:

So how does that work and what does that look like?

Kathryn:

I've talked about it a lot.

Kathryn:

I get a little quiet step away.

Kathryn:

Do one of those little activities that relaxes your mind.

Kathryn:

Maybe you can't jump in the shower.

Kathryn:

But you could do the coloring for a little bit.

Kathryn:

You could take a short walk.

Kathryn:

Short drive.

Kathryn:

You could do a little of gardening, even if it's plants on your desk,

Kathryn:

spend a little time with the plants on your desk set a timer or watch a

Kathryn:

couple of fun videos, dance around.

Kathryn:

Something that relaxes your brain.

Kathryn:

And takes you out of it.

Kathryn:

You will be inspired how to get things done, you will be

Kathryn:

inspired of a better way to do it.

Kathryn:

You'll be shown synchronicities.

Kathryn:

Step away and release that have to have to have to.

Kathryn:

Step away and say, all right intuition what are we doing?

Kathryn:

How are we going at this?

Kathryn:

You be the guide you drive ahead.

Kathryn:

I'm going to be the passenger.

Kathryn:

Release that have to need to, must do.

Kathryn:

It does not serve you.

Kathryn:

It makes things go slower.

Kathryn:

It makes you a little bit miserable.

Kathryn:

And it takes you out of flow because often.

Kathryn:

When you allow that flow to happen, things beyond what you're trying

Kathryn:

to get done, we'll come together.

Kathryn:

And when we allow that to happen, that's when I say the magic happens, that's

Kathryn:

when those synchronicity of things I could not imagine to even put in my plan.

Kathryn:

Come together.

Kathryn:

So.

Kathryn:

Yes, we have things we have to do.

Kathryn:

Yes we have deadlines.

Kathryn:

If you can allow a few minutes here and there to relax yourself.

Kathryn:

To step away from the half to feeling the possibility.

Kathryn:

That intuition brings you.

Kathryn:

Is extraordinary.

Kathryn:

Beyond what you could have imagined.

Kathryn:

So get your little menu out of things that you can do to relax your brain and

Kathryn:

every little situation, every moment.

Kathryn:

Give yourself 15, 20 minutes.

Kathryn:

Maybe you meet 30 minutes, maybe you need a little bit longer, but you

Kathryn:

say, Hey, I can't take that long.

Kathryn:

Well, you can either struggle and fight yourself for that hour or you can relax

Kathryn:

your brain and come up with faster, better ideas and you wouldn't have

Kathryn:

needed that hour in the first place.

Kathryn:

Allow intuition to guide you in the have tos and the deadlines.

Kathryn:

It is possible.

Kathryn:

More than possible.

Kathryn:

It will bring you.

Kathryn:

Clarity.

Kathryn:

Simplicity.

Kathryn:

And synchronicities of moments.

Kathryn:

You could never, ever have imagined.

Kathryn:

So keep it simple.

Kathryn:

be at ease with yourself and allow intuition to light the path.
